Stepmother who cut off one-month baby's pen*s remanded in prison
Bara’atu Rabiu, the 22-year-old stepmother from hell who jealously cut off the pen*s of Buhari, the one-month-old son of her rival, has been arrested and remanded in the Minna Medium Security Prison.
Reports say the suspect who had been married to her husband, Mohammed Rabiu, for seven years, without a child appeared in court on Monday to answer questions following a one count of attempted homicide before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Minna.
Bara’atu who was remanded in prison by the court reportedly cut off the victim’s pen*s at their home located in Kuta town, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
She confessed that she carried out the act to teach her husband a lesson for taking a second wife.
While commenting on the case, Bala James, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, noted that the suspect’s aim was to kill the child but he survived the attack.
“The woman used a sharp knife to cut through the genitals of the one-month-old baby. She had been married to her husband for seven years without any child. So, out of pressure, the man decided to marry a second wife.
“When the second wife had a baby, she became angry and frustrated. She thought the best thing to do was to kill the child.
“On June 21, around 10pm, she took the baby to the backyard of their house and used a sharp knife to cut off his pen*s.
“The cry of the baby attracted neighbours, who rushed to the place and found him in a pool of blood. The suspect wanted to run away, but she was overpowered. She was handed over to the police, while the baby was taken to a hospital.” He said.
