Sudan’s president says he’ll quit power after 31yrs

President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan has revealed that he will vacate office when his current tenure ends in the next four years- that is the year 2020 to be exact.

The Sudanese leader revealed that much to BBC while also denying allegations of abuses allegedly committed by Sudanese forces in new offensive against black African villages who took up arms in the country’s western Darfur region.

If his wishes come through he would spend 31 years as the country’s president having come to power in 1989.
