Sule Lamido to FG: Stop blaming PDP for your inabilities

A former governor of Jigawa State, Dr Sule Lamido, has said it is “funny and contradictory” for the federal government to keep blaming the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government to cover its inadequacies.

Lamido, who spoke with Daily Trust in his Bamaina home yesterday, wondered why the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government would say that the PDP left nothing in the treasury or did anything for the country.

“One thing I found very funny is that the PDP left nothing in the kitty. To me, I find this very laughable.

“We couldn’t have been so totally dormant for 16 years, having done nothing as they claimed and then again no money. The two don’t add-up. We left nothing?
“If you look at Abuja, the stadium there was built by the PDP government, the 10 layers Kubwa-Abuja-Zuba road was done by the PDP.

“All the highways in Nigeria were done by the PDP, including all the airports, if you go to Kano or Abuja.  If you talk of investment on energy in Gembu, Taraba State, the Kainji in Niger, all the money put there was done by the PDP.
