Sule presents N156.6bn 2024 supplementary budget to Nasarawa Assembly

The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, on Tuesday presented the 2024 supplementary budget of N156.5 billion to the State House of Assembly for approval.

The Speaker of the House, Mr. Danladi Jatau, announced this during plenary on Tuesday in Lafia.

He said the supplementary appropriation bill would enable the state government to provide the much-needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

The Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Suleiman Azara, moved a motion for the bill to scale first reading and this was seconded by the Deputy Minority Leader, Mr. Onarigu Onah Kana.

The Assembly read the bill and unanimously passed it through the first reading.

The House approved a N199.8 billion budget for the 2024 fiscal year in December last year.

The supplementary appropriation bill would take the state’s 2024 budget to N356.5 billion if approved by the Assembly.
