English Premier League clubs Sunderland and West Ham have joined Turkish club, Bekistas, in the battle to seure the signing of Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi.

The 23-year-old has risen through the ranks at Lazio since arriving in 2011 but has never fully established himself as a first-team regular.

Onazi has made a total of just 31 Serie A appearances over the course of the past two seasons and he could be set for a summer move away from the club.

Both West Ham and Sunderland are keen on bringing him to the Premier League.

Onazi is also a target for Besiktas, who have reportedly made him one of their main targets for the window.

Lazio are open to selling the holding midfielder, a full Nigeria international, but want to raise around £7m for his sale.
