The Super Eagles of Nigeria are now the third best team in Africa after they climbed four places in the recent world ranking by FIFA on Thursday.

Nigeria played two matches in March, winning their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles and also beating the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly in Asaba.

Ranked at 46th in the February rankings released, the Eagles garnered a total of 1435 points to go above Morocco, who dropped two places to become fourth in the continent and 45th in the world.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal remain at the top of the African ranking, moving one spot to rank 23rd in the world, and followed by Tunisia, who made no movement to rank 28 in the globe.
