The Super Falcons of Nigeria will play host to the Queen Scorpions of Gambia today (Monday) in Lagos as both teams seek qualification for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON).

The Nigerian side are going into the clash with a 1-0 advantage from the first leg played in Gambia last Wednesday.

Amarachi Okoronkwo’s strike gave the eight-time African Champions the lead ahead of the second leg.

The reverse fixture will hold at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.

Speaking in a chat, Onome Ebi, a Super Falcon, said despite their lead, they will not underrate their visitors, as they have their eyes set on qualification.

“The first leg was tough but we won the game,” she said to CSN.

“All we need to do is to close them down as much as we can to get the result needed to qualify for the Nations Cup. But we won’t underrate them because that could be dangerous.”

The Super Falcons will seal qualification for the Ghana 2018 AWCON if they avoid defeat in the game.
