Super Falcons’ Ordega joins Atletico Madrid Women

Francisca Ordega of the Nigerian women’s national team has moved to Atletico Madrid Women’s team on loan from Washington Spirit.

Ordega will play with the Spanish side till March 2018 when a new season will begin in the United States of America.

“The 24-year-old Nigerian footballer is on the front line and will wear our jersey until next March,” Atletico wrote on their website.

Commenting on her move, Ordega said she could not wait to start playing for the club, with confidence that her contribution to the team would win the fans over.

“For me it’s an honor and I’m very happy to be here. Atletico Madrid is a great club, internationally recognized, and I really want to start,” she told Atletico’s website.

“I am a strong player, physically, athletic and very fast and I will make the fans feel proud of me.”
