Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala joins Barcelona on loan

Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has joined Spanish club FC Barcelona on loan for the remainer of the 2018/2019 season.

The 24-year old, made the move from Chinese club, Dalian Quanjian, where she has won the Chinese women’s league on two occassions and finished as top scorer in 2017.

Oshoala, three-time African Footballer of the Year, says she is ready to help her new team to make history.

“This is obviously one of the best clubs in the world,” she told the club’s website.

“The team has a great history and wonderful football mentality.

“I am excited about playing with Vicky Losada again. She’s a great midfielder, with a lot of energy and skill.

“I also met Fabiana in China and she helped me to make this decision.

“My goal is to strengthen the team and help them to win and make history. This is a fantastic opportunity because I’m sure something big will happen here,” she added.
