Suspected Fulani herdsmen kill 6 in Adamawa villages

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have killed not less than 11 persons in four villages in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 2am on Thursday in Tambo, Murposa, Bankam and Wuro Hausa in what the police described as a reprisal attack.

The victims was said to have included an aged man who could not run because of sickness and a blind man.

Confirming the attacks, the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Othman Abubakar, said: “ Based on our intelligence report, the attacks on Tambo and three other communities was a reprisal.”
