Suspected herdsmen kidnap UBEB staff in Ondo
Gun-wielding gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have kidnapped a 45 year old senior official of the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB), Abuja, Femi Adesote, along the notorious Auga-Akoko Highway in Ondo State.
He was reportedly kidnapped alongside his aged father Samuel Adesola and sister while driving in their car with registration number Abuja RSH 862 DV en route Idanre after the father was said to have received medical treatment.
Leaving his relatives behind, Adesote was led into the bush while gunshots were fired into the air to scare motorists and passers-by.

Nothing has been heard from the kidnappers as to their terms.
The event which occurred at Kabba-Ikare Expressway close to Auga Grammar School in Akoko North East, was confirmed by the Divisional Police Officer in Ikare, Superintendent Adeniyi Agboola who said his men had been mobilised to comb the area.
Also speaking, the Area Commander for Ikare Akoko, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Razak Rauf, assured that the kidnapped Federal Government worker would be released unscathed.
