Suspected herdsmen kill 10, render 3,500 homeless in Cross River

Obio Usiere, Odukapni Local Government Area (LGA) of Cross River State has been thrown into mourning and agony following an attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen that left at least 10 people dead with over 3,500 rendered homeless.

Apostle Iya Orok, the village head revealed that “the community discovered eight more corpses after the two earlier killed last week.”

He told reporters, “We have lost nothing less than 10 people in this attack by Fulani herdsmen. They normally come during the dry season to feed their cattle in our area. The same incident occurred two years ago when two people were shot dead, now its 10 people.

“As I speak with you, Obio Usiere has been deserted, our women are afraid to go to their farms because they rape them in the bush and no one can help them. These people are heavily armed and we are just helpless.

“We have reported to both police, DSS and other security agencies and we call on Governor Ben Ayade to help us because about 3, 500 people are now homeless, we have become refugees in our own land.”

The attack was confirmed by police Public Relations Officer, ASP Irene Ugbo, but he argued that it was one and not 10 persons, killed.

She said, “Our men are on ground 24 hours and we are not aware of any other killing. The rise in the death toll has not been reported to us and we are not leaving the place.”

But sincerely, if Fulanis can be going to all states to wreak havoc in their states, then it seems other tribes are sleeping. Fulani will go to ekiti, Benue, ogun , osun and now Rivers state to destroy people and we have not in one day thought of going to where they reside to wipe away their whole race so Buhari can know that it is not fair enough to keep mute over his kinsmen’s pernicious activities in the country.

Revenge is of the Lord. So let GOD fight back those monsters. Fighting them back is tantamount to war. And war has nothing good than to ravage the country.

Revenge is of the lord, but it is Buhari’s duty to send them to the lord by prosecuting them and sentence them to death! Mr. President has failed in his responsibility to protect the citizens of Nigeria.

Our able sentimental president Buhari will not read and condemn his people now. If this was carried out by other tribes in Nigeria, Mr President and his media team would have released press statements individually. God is watching all of you.

The moment we all realize we don’t have active government that can protect us in Nigeria that is when we will all stand up to protect ourselves from the evil doers who kill people like they have the right to kill their fellow human.
