IS militants arrested in Ethiopia

Security authorities in Ethiopia have confirmed the arrest of alleged members of Islamic State group after a raid on several towns close to its borders with Kenya and Somalia.

An army official, Colonel Tesfaye Ayalew, confirmed the arrest of the militants but did not give the exact number of the IS members arrested during the raid.

Ayalew, who spoke with the BBC, said most of those arrested were foreign nationals, from Syria and Yemen.
