DELTA: Police nabs 7 suspects in connection with murder of NUPENG task force chair

Men of the Ondo State Police Command have reportedly arrested a suspected kidnapper who slept off during an attempt to abduct a pharmacy owner.

The suspect reportedly doses off after getting high on Tramadol which he took before the operation.

The police revealed that the suspect was still sleeping due to the effect of the drug after he was arrested at the scene of the incident which took place in Owo town , Ondo State.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph who spoke while parading the unconscious suspect and his gang members, the owner of the pharmacy raised an alarm when the kidnappers invaded his place of work.

Mr. Joseph said, “After failing to abduct their target, the hoodlums fled, but one of them stumbled because he was not active again due to the effect of the Tramadol he had taken.

“The suspect has been sleeping for more than 24 hours after his arrest while a 400mg tablet of Tramadol was found in his pocket. “

The PPRO also informed that the arrested suspect would be charged to court after regaining consciousness and investigations into the matter were concluded.
