Court halts APC's plan to hold indirect primary in Kogi

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has failed to hear the appeal by the embattled All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole challenging his suspension.

Oshiomhole was suspended as the national chairman of the APC in a recent ruling by an Abuja High Court.

But he dragged the matter to the Appeal Court. And last week, the court sent notices to parties involved in the matter that it would hear the appeal on Monday, March 16.

However, when the parties in the matter came to the court today (Monday), the Justice Stephen Adah-led three-man panel of Justices sat to hear other cases.

The parties in the Oshiomhole appeal were later told by the panel that another panel would be set up to hear the APC national chairman’s appeal.

The parties which waited patiently were, however, disappointed when a female official of the court returned to the courtroom to tell them that the court would no longer hear Oshiomole’s appeal as earlier fixed.

She said the court would now hear the matter on a later date that would be communicated to the parties.

This development is coming as the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) will tomorrow (Tuesday), March 17, meet to decide Oshiomhole’s fate.
