Suspicious package forces evacuation at Trump Tower

The lobby of the Manhattan based Trump Tower was evacuated temporarily after a suspicious package was found in the premises belonging to Republican President-elect, Donald Trump.

Footage from outside the tower shows stream of people leaving the building after an alarm was raised.

According to NYPD and FDNY officials who arrived the scene after calls were put through, the evacuation was protocol for a suspicious package found near the lobby of the skyscrapper.

An all clear was given by the NYPD after investigating the content of the suspicious backpack that was left in the lobby, which they determined contained a collection of children’s toys.
