Tanzanian national football coach, Boniface Mkwasa, has revealed that his players are ready to shock the Super Eagles when both teams clash in the 2017 Nations Cup qualifier on September 5 in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking to the media on Sunday following the team’s camp resumption, Mkwasa said the Eagles are beatable stressing that the Taifa Stars are ready for the challenge.
“We are really on top of the preparation for this match. We know Nigeria is a super power of football in the continent, but they are beatable.

“This is not to say we are underrating them or what they are capable of doing here in Tanzania, but we are very sure of getting a good result against them. My players are aware of the task before them and have promised to deliver the match to Tanzanians.”
Taifa Stars lost its first group match 3-0 to Pharaohs of Egypt, forcing the Tanzania Football Federation to overhaul the team’s technical bench, whereby Dutch trainer Mart Nooij was replaced with Mkwasa.
The team will stay together in Dar es Salaam for one week before departing for Istanbul, Turkey, on August 23 this year to set up a ten-day camp to prepare for their second match of the qualifiers against Nigeria.
