Tanzania ready to shock Eagles in Uyo –Captain

Captain of the Taifa Stars of Tanzania, Mbwana Samatta has declared that they are ready to shock the Super Eagles when both teams battle in today’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

Though the match in inconsequential to both teams, but Samatta insists they are poised for a win to improve their rating in the monthly FIFA rankings.

“Everybody knows that we (Nigeria and Tanzania) are not competing for anything as the two countries cannot qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations next year.

“Egypt has already taken that spot but then, a game is a game.

Samatta who plays for Belgian club, KRC Gent just like Super Eagles star, Wilfred Ndidi , said they are ready to cage Nigeria just likethey did during the reverse fixture which ended 0-0 at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam on September 5, 2015.

“We are here to play a football game and not to see how beautiful Nigeria is.

“If it is possible, we will win but if that is not the case, then Nigeria will win. If the two sides however show equal strength, then it will end as a draw.
