Taylor Swift clinches 24th win at the AMAs

American pop star, Taylor Swift, was the cynosure of all eyes at the 2019 American Music Awards after winning in six categories at this year’s AMAs, taking her all-time total to 29, thus surpassing the legendary Michael Jackson’s record of 24.

The organisers named Swift as the artist of the decade and also handed her the biggest prize of the night, artist of the year, beating Drake, Ariana Grande, Halsey and Post Malone to win the award.

“The last year of my life has had some of the most amazing times and also some of the hardest things I’ve gone through.

“I wanted to thank you so much for being the thing that has been a constant in my life

“All that matters to me is the memories I have had with you guys, with you the fans, over the years,” the artiste said after winning her awards.

Taylor Swift went on to deliver a powerful medley of her greatest hits in honor of being awarded Artist of the Decade and she kicked it off with “The Man” off her latest album and other hit tracks from her rich collections.
