Tears of joy as Sadiq Daba,  Bukky Ajayi honoured at AMVCA 2016

The 2016 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards staged last night at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island has come and gone with winners on the night now relishing their rewards for their hardwork and creativity.
The likes of Funke Akindele,  Folarin Falana,  Stephanie Linus and others carted home awards after winning their respective categories of the annually staged awards ceremony.
Emotions ran high when veteran actress Bukky Ajayi alongside another veteran Sadiq Daba were both announced joint winners of this year’s AMVCA  Industry merit award.
Both actors were bestowed with the honour for their contributions towards the development of the nation’s movie industry.
82-year-old actress Bukky Ajayi who was wheeled to the stage with tears rolling down her cheeks thanked the organisers for honouring her with the award in an emotional speech as she revealed that “she didn’t see it coming”.
