Tekno takes time-off music after damaging vocal box

The dust raised over the viral Lekki strippers’ video suggests that a good number of present day musical talents are yet to fully appreciate the cultural milieu under which they operate. It would seem, therefore, only a few are able to comprehend the difference between showbiz and nuisance.

Many were miffed by the indecent video of Tekno dancing with semi-nude ladies in a see through mobile truck which reportedly caused commotion in traffic in the Lekki area of Lagos days ago.

Tekno was also seen in the viral clip tagged obscene by many, spraying money on the scantily dressed women and hitting them on the buttocks.

The indecent video has now forced the hand of the Lagos State Police Command which has informed that it has commenced an investigation into the indecent exposure.

Disturbed by the negative feedback the video may have caused his person, Tekno initially took to his Instagram page to mount a defense by debunking claims that he was dancing with strippers.

He stated in the post that the see-through mobile-truck was used to convey his crew to a location for a music video shoot.

Tekno, however, has since shown greater remorse over the incident, stating that he respected the decency in Lagos while also noting that entertainers should be mindful of what they promote with their craft because many are watching.

Recall that hours after the video went viral, Nollywood actress Belinda Effah wrote a short memo to government over the lewd clip.

In a post on her Instagram page, the actress called on the government to enforce rules against such indecency to serve as a deterrent to others.
