Tragedy averted as anti-Bello protesters storm APC headquarters

Ahead of the November 16 governorship polls in Bayelsa and Kogi states, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it was certain of winning both elections.

The national publicity secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, stated this on Tuesday at a media briefing in Abuja.

Describing Bayelsa State as a PDP stronghold, Ologbondiyan said that there was no way the people of the state will abandon the party to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the case of Kogi State, he said with the hardship the people have been subjected to under the APC government, that Governor Yahaya Bello, should get ready to sign his handover note.

“Bayelsa is the traditional home of the PDP, we are in democracy so the APC has right to run an election, but there is no way that Bayelsans will vote for the APC. Bayesans will not do that.

“In Kogi, we advise Governor Bello to begin to write his handover note because the PDP will remove the incumbent, Bello. Kogi people for your information cannot be bought with money,” Ologbondiyan said.
