President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Akure, Ondo State, indirectly attacked former President Olusegun Obasanjo for allegedly aspiring to a third term in office.
In a tweet delivered by his media aide, Tolu Ogunlesi, Buhari took a swipe at Obasanjo saying:
“We have just finished one term and are seeking a second one. After that, the constitution doesn’t permit any more.
“There are some who tried looking for more but they did not succeed. We should learn from their mistakes.”
Buhari reportedly spoke while on a courtesy call to Ondo State Council of Obas in Akure. The President was principally in the State to lead senior members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on a campaign ahead of the 2019 general elections.
