Three feared dead, 7 rescued in Bauchi boat mishap

At least three persons were feared dead in a boat accident in the Zindiwa River, Gamawa local government area of Bauchi State on Saturday.

Eyewitnesses told journalists that the boat which carried 10 passengers capsized while trying to cross the river capsized at about 4:00 p.m.

However, seven other passengers have been rescued by emergency responders.

The cause of the accident has not been ascertained at the time of filing this report.
