Tinubu appoints CEOs for NUC, NERDC, others

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu as the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC).

He also appointed Prof. Salisu Shehu as Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC).

The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

Other appointees are:

· Jabiru Tsauri – National Coordinator, New Partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD).

· Yazid Danfulani – Executive Secretary, Solid Minerals Development Fund/Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative (SMDF/PAGMI)

The statement read: “The President believes the appointees’ experience and track records will bring a new sense of commitment, progress, and positive outcomes to fulfill Nigerians’ expectations of their respective organisations.”
