Tinubu set to swear in seven new ministers on Monday, Onanuga confirms
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to swear in seven new ministers to his cabinet on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.
This announcement was made by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, through his X account on Sunday.
Onanuga stated, “President Bola Tinubu will swear in the new seven ministers tomorrow Monday.” The new appointees include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Dingyadi as the Minister of Labour and Employment, and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Additionally, the cabinet will welcome Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (Trade and Investment), Idi Maiha as the Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Ata as the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad as the Minister of State for Education.
Onanuga also noted, “The Senate cleared the ministers last week.”
This development follows a significant cabinet reshuffle on October 23, during which President Tinubu approved the re-assignment of ten ministers to new roles, discharged five others, and nominated seven new ministers for Senate confirmation. The Senate successfully confirmed all seven nominees on October 31, 2024, after a thorough screening process.
