Oyo State Government has announced the cancellation of mid-term break for the third term of 2018/2019 academic session, for public primary and secondary schools in the state.

In a circular signed by I. O. Adeosun, the acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan, it was noted that the students had been out of school for a number of days.

Adeosun explained that because there were several public holidays and strikes, which made pupils/students of public schools stay out of classrooms for too long, the mid term break had to be cancelled.
