Total appoints Le-Cocq deputy managing director

In its readiness to return to full operations in Nigeria, Total E&P Nigeria has announced the appointment of Mr. Francois Le-Cocq as Deputy Managing Director, Port Harcourt District.

He succeeds Mr. Nicolas Brunet, who was assigned to other functions within the group.

As deputy managing director, Le-Cocq will oversee the company’s joint venture activities, onshore and offshore.

He is a 1987 engineering graduate of École Centrale de Lyon in France and has a post graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering from École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs.

 

He began his career in Total in 1990 in the Scientific & Technical Research Center in Pau, France and had held key technical and management positions in various subsidiaries of the firm around the world.

 

Before his present appointment, he was managing director of Total E&P Yemen, where he was also the group representative in that country before coming to Nigeria. He is said to have a wealth of experience spanning over 26 years in the oil and gas industry.
