Traditional ruler kidnapped in Edo

A traditional ruler, Godwin Aigbe, the Enogie of Ukhiri, has been allegedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.

It was gathered that about five heavily armed men, stormed the palace of the monarch in the early hours of Saturday and fired shots in the air before taking the Enogie to an unknown destination.

Sources in the community said the hoodlums forced the traditional ruler into his own Nissan Sunny car and set their unregistered car ablaze before driving off through Abraka road, Delta state.
