A possible tragedy was averted Wednesday morning by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), when a tanker loaded with fuel spilled its content on the Niger bridge.

The truck, it was learnt, hit the edge of the rail of the bridge while attempting to make a U-turn on the bridge.

Consequently, its content started to spill on the bridge.

According the the state Sector Public Education Officer of FRSC, Pascal Anigbo, officers of the Commission, who were on ground when the incident happened quickly alerted the fire service.
