In from Ahmed Boulor . . .
Three persons who were obviously carried away with what they were doing in a Toyota Camry car were crushed to death on Sunday by a moving train in the Kulende area of Ilorin, Kwara State.

Eyewitnesses say the victims, a lady and two young men who were obviously engrossed with what they were doing had all windows of the car wound up and unknowingly parked on the railway track when tragedy struck in the Kulende area of Zango.

“As the train which was coming from Offa was fast approaching, several shouts and alerts by passersby to the three occupants inside the Toyota Camry car to drive away from the railway line failed as they could not hear what the people were saying”, an eyewitness said.

Continuing, the eyewitness said; “Consequently, the oncoming train heavily crushed the car with the occupants, causing commotion and pandemonium in the area.”
The remains of the victims were immediately taken to University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital after the mangled bodies of the victims were taken out of the crushed car.
