Tribunal fixes Wednesday to deliver judgment on Atiku’s petition against Buhari

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will on Wednesday deliver judgment on the petition of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar challenging the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the February 2019 election.

Sa’adatu Kachalla, spokesperson for the Court of Appeal revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.

He said, “Presidential election petition tribunal: Please be informed. Notice has been given for judgment to be delivered tomorrow, September 11.”

Atiku and his party had, in their petition before the tribunal, alleged among other things that the Independent National Electoral Commission rigged the election in favour of President Buhari and the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
