The Defence Headquarters announced this in a statement on Monday by its Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche.

Enenche said that the development followed the troops‘ raid of some identified bandits’ camps in parts of Benue and Nasarawa states.

Enenche said the operations were conducted by troops deployed at Guma in Benue and Keana in Nasarawa State.

The statement read in full: “In continuation of the aggressive kinetic operations against armed banditry, cattle rustling and other sundry crimes in the North-Central zone, troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have arrested four armed bandits and recovered arms and ammunition during two daring raids at identified bandits’ camps.
