OGUN: 3 feared dead, 11 others injured in ghastly auto crash

Seven people died on Tuesday after a truck in which they were travelling plunged into a river at Kotonkarfe Community on Lokoja-Abuja Highway.

Mr Emmanuel Abe, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kogi who confirmed the incident in Lokoja, said 37 people were involved in the accident, while many others sustained various degrees of injury.

According to him, speeding was the direct cause of the accident while he appealed to motorists to abide by the speed limit rule.

He added that both the injured and dead were transported to the Federal Medical Centre and the Kogi State Specialist Hospital in Lokoja.
