Trump hopes to keep TikTok around for a ‘little while’

The United States President-elect, Donald Trump, said on Sunday he would like to keep ByteDance’s social media app, TikTok, for “a little while.”
The returning president said he has a soft spot for TikTok because his presidential campaign got a great response on the app with billions of views.
He said: “We’re going to have to start thinking because, you know, we did go on TikTok, and we had a great response with billions of views, billions and billions of views,” Trump told supporters at an event in the city of Phoenix, Arizona.

“They brought me a chart, and it was a record, and it was so beautiful to see, and as I looked at it, I said, ‘Maybe we gotta keep this sucker around for a little while.
Trump’s comments come days after an Appeals Court in the District of Columbia rejected TikTok’s emergency injunction to overturn an enacted “Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications” law.
The move is aimed at outlawing the well-known social media platform in the US.
