Amid Republican discord, Trump insists he’s going to stay in politics

The United States President-elect, Donald Trump, has been named the Time Person of the Year.

TIME’s Editor-in-Chief, Sam Jacobs, announced this in a statement on Thursday.

He extolled Trump “for marshalling a comeback of historic proportions, for driving a once-in-a-generation political realignment, for reshaping the American presidency, and altering America’s role in the world.”
