Mouthy business mogul turned politician, Donald Trump has officially sealed the ticket to run for White House after he won the Republican nomination for US presidency.

Trump’s nomination is coming after months of acrimonious campaigns that has somewhat divided American’s across different political shades and divides.

Moments after clinching the nomination, Trump delivered a speech on a video feed from New York saying; “It is something I’ll never ever forget.

“Together we have achieved historic results with the largest vote total in the history of the Republican Party. This is a movement, but we have to go all the way.”

On his way to clinching the nomination, Trump cruised past 1,237 delegates needed on Tuesday to seal the deal on the first ballot as he was put over the top by his home state of New York.
