Amid Republican discord, Trump insists he’s going to stay in politics

The United States President-elect, Donald Trump has resolved to resume deportation of all illegal immigrants in the country when he assumes office on January 20, 2025.

Trump stated this in an interview aired on NBC News’ “Meet the Press with Kristen Welker”on Sunday.

Trump affirmed his intention to remove all unauthorized immigrants, stating: “I think you have to do it. It’s a very tough thing to do. You know, you have rules, regulations, laws.”

The returning president, however, declared his resdiness to negotiate protections for “Dreamers,” immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

Trump had during his first term, attempted to dismantle the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programme, which provides deportation relief to this group, but was blocked by the Supreme Court.

He also planned to issue an executive order to end birthright citizenship on his first day in office.
