Incoming reports suggests that, scores of supporters of President-elect Donald Trump have moved to the courts to stop election recount in three states namely Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The legal action taken last Friday seeks to block or halt recounts requested by Green Party candidate in the three aforementioned states and the move is coming less than two weeks before the states would have to complete the tasks to meet a federal deadline to certify their election results.

According to Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who requested the recounts, the move was necessary to ensure that voting machines were not hacked, even though there is no evidence that they were.

“Our goal is not to change the result of the election,” Stein said in an opinion piece released on Thursday. “It is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the vote.”
