"Chase out Islamist extremists", Trump tells Muslim leaders in Middle East

A request to place on hold an appeal over a travel ban on people from seven majority-Muslim countries by President Donald Trump has been rejected by a federal appeals court.

Reports say the order by the appeals court could put more pressure on the Trump’s administration to clarify its motive or intention behind signing the executive bill which places travel ban in about seven majority-Muslim countries.

Recall that about three weeks ago, Trump suffered a legal setback when a US appeals court refused to reinstate a ban on travellers from the seven Muslim countries.

The unanimous decision was reached by a panel of three judges from the San Francisco-based 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals who all declined to block a lower-court ruling that suspended the ban and allowed previously barred travellers to enter the US.

The ban by Trump has deeply divided Americans and was condemned by prominent U.S. companies and allies and the decision was challenged in court by the state of Washington.
