Turkish president felicitates with Buhari over his health, Eid, invites him to summit

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his health recovery, while felicitating with him on the Eid celebrations.

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.

Shehu said the Turkish leader also invited Buhari to the forthcoming 9th Summit of D-8, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation, at the end of October in Istanbul.

He stated that the two leaders discussed at length, and wished each other good health and success in their endeavours, while extending their greetings and good wishes to the citizens of their friendly countries.

“Erdogan extended an invitation to President Buhari for his participation.

“President Buhari expressed his gratitude for the good wishes’’, Shehu said.
