Two injured in 4-vehicle crash on Onitsha-Enugu expressway

4 traders crushed to death, others injured in ghastly Ibadan auto crash

A crash involving about four behicles on the old Onitsha-Enugu expressway on Friday left at least two persons injured.

It was learnt that four persons, including three males and one female, were involved in the crash, while two persons were seriously injured.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Anambra, confirmed the multiple crashes in a statement to newsmen in Awka, the Anambra state capital.

The Sector Commander of the commission in the state, Andrew Kumapyi who also confirmed the crashes, attributed the crash to a tipper’s suspected brake failure, adding, that the injured victims sustained serious injuries.

He said that the victims have since been taken to the General Hospital in Enugu Ukwu, for medical attention.
