Tyrese accuses radio station of racism

Published

on

Tyrese has been on the top chart for a while now with his No.1 R&B/Soul album. But recently he is accusing some white-owned radio of being racist and only playing R&B/Soul if it is performed by white guys.

He says he could only get black radio DJ’s to play his single “Shame” on their stations, while white DJs simply refused to air it on their radio stations.

He said that if “Shame” was performed by Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith or Robin Thicke the white radio would be falling over themselves to play it. On the other hand, urban stations play white artistes with no problem.

Tyrese is a four time Grammy nominated artiste. ‘Shame’ is his latest single.
