The current financial crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation has forced the U-23 Eagles to opt out of the 2016 Toulon Football Festival billed for May in France with the hope of participating at the Korean Invitational tourney also billed for
next month.

Nigeria will play in Group B at the Olympics alongside Sweden, Japan and Colombia.

Ripples Nigeria scooped that the NFF would have to cough out about 80,000 Euros required for the tournament which also features Nigeria’s Group B foes Colombia and Japan as well as Argentina and South Africa.

The Korean Tourney will however feature host Korea and another Rio Olympics bound team, Honduras.

Nigeria made their Toulon Festival debut in 2013, when the Flying Eagles used the invitational tournament to prepare for the U20 World Cup in Turkey
