U.S paralysed by massive blizzard

There seems to be no respite in sight as several American cities including New York and Washington DC are at a standstill as mammoth snowfall grinds economic and social activities to a halt.

According to reports, at least 18 people have lost their lives to snow storms and other weather related incidents with 11 states issuing a state of emergency in the last 48 hours.
There seems to be no slowing down for one of the biggest blizzards in US history with up to 85 million people at risk spanning the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic, affecting residents from New York, Washington DC to North Carolina.
