UACN, Wema, Cadbury top Ripples Nigeria stock watchlist

The Nigerian bourse posted gains on the Wednesday and Friday sessions last week while trade in the rest of the week days ended in the negative territory.

We have selected a group of stocks you should watch out for this week on the basis of how the market fared last week.

UACN PLC

UACN makes our list this week on the basis of its dividend proposal last week for Full Year 2019..

The board announced a proposal of N0.10 per share dividend subject to shareholders’ endorsement.

The qualification date has been fixed for 18th May while the payment date is to be announced later.

Its Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at N3.23 while its Price to Earnings (PE) ratio is 1.92.

WEMA PLC

Wema Bank makes our list on the account of the board’s declaration of a N0.04 per share dividend last week for FY2019.

The lender reported a 32% leap in earnings for the financial year 2019, which brought its full year profit to N4.406 billion.

Its EPS is N0.13 while its PE ratio is 4.60 according to Bloomberg.

CADBURY NIGERIA PLC

Cadbury makes our list on the account of being the highest price gainer last week. Opening at N6.30, the stock closed at N7.45, appreciating by 18.25%.

SKYWAY AVIATION HANDLING COMPANY PLC

Skyway Aviation features on our list for being the highest price loser last week. Opening at N2.06, the stock closed at N1.52, appreciating by 26.21%.

BOC GASES PLC

BOC Gases makes our list this week on the basis of trading at its lowest price in 52 weeks. It currently sells for N3.65 per share, has an EPS of N0.52 and a PE Ratio of 6.98.

GUINNESS NIGERIA PLC

Guinness features our list this week by virtue of trading at its lowest price in 52 weeks. It currently sells for N18.90 per share, has an EPS of N1.93 and a PE Ratio of 9.81.
