In from Nifemi Daniel . . .
As part of their quest to help their club qualify into the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, Nigeria trio of Ahmed Musa, Brown Ideye and Moses Simon are expected to be in action as their respective clubs take to the pitch.
Ideye could help Olympiakos progress to the next stage of the competition if they avoid defeat against Bayern Munich at the Alianz Arena. The two sides need just a point to advance from Group F as they have nine points each, six more than Arsenal and the Nigerian who has scored once in four champions League games for the Greek side will be counted upon to play a part in the tie.
Simon may not play UEFA Champions League match this season again if his Belgian side, Gent, fail to win at Olympique Lyon in France. Gent are rooted to the bottom of Group H and could crash out of the competition if they do not beat their hosts.

The Eagles winger has not been dominant for the club this term like his first season in Belgium and this is the opportunity for him to win over most of fans. He is yet to score in the competition.
Mikel Obi’s Chelsea will face Maccabi Tel Aviv but it remained to be seen if Coach Jose Mourinho will hand his Nigerian midfielder a rare start against the Israeli.
CSKA still have a mathematical chance of making it to the next stage from Group B despite being at the bottom of the section. The Russians have struggled in recent times so also their Nigerian import. Musa has manged just one goal in two months and being one of the key players in the side, he will be expected to shake off the drought to help his side this time.
