UCL: Lookman scores in Atalanta win as Liverpool, Barca beat opponents

Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman delivered an impressive performance, scoring and providing an assist in Atalanta’s emphatic 5-0 win over Austrian side Sturm Graz.

The game played at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo on Tuesday night, saw Lookman net Atalanta’s fourth goal in the 90th minute of the encounter.

Moments later, he skillfully evaded multiple challenges before assisting Marco Brescianini for the team’s fifth goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

The 27-year-old winger has now tallied four goals and two assists in six appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in this season’s competition.

Atalanta currently sit on 14 points after seven matches and will face Barcelona in their final group-stage fixture.

The defending UEFA Europa League champions are already assured of at least a play-off spot.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah was on target for Liverpool in their 2-1 victory over French side Lille while Atletico Madrid also sealed a 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

Barcelona and Benfica played an nine-goal thriller in Portugal, with the Spanish side netting a late winner to seal a 5-4 victory.

In the other matches, Monaco defeated Aston Villa 1-0, Bologna defeated Dortmund 2-1, PSV beat Red Star 3-2, while Club Brugge and Juventus played a goalless draw.
