UCL: Title holders Real Madrid draw Tottenham, Dortmund; PSG to face Bayern

European champions, Real Madrid, have been drawn with Premier League giants, Tottenham, and Bundesliga side, Dortmund, in the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League group stage.

The La Liga side, which defeated Serie A holders, Juventus, in last season’s final to lift the trophy for the second time in a row, fell into group H at the draw which took place in Monaco on Thursday evening.

The Zinedine Zidane’s men will be seeking to set another record when the Champions League groups finally kick off on matchday one.

Meanwhile, Ligue 1 giants, Paris St Germain will face German champions, Bayern Munich in Group B, alongside Scottish champions, Celtic and Dutch side, Anderlecht.

Reigning Premier League winners, Chelsea were drawn in Group C, to play Atletico Madrid, AS Roma and Qarabag; while Manchester United will face Benfica, Basel and CSKA Moscow in Group A.

2016-2017 runners-up, Juventus, who defeated Barcelona in the knockout stages last season, will face the Spanish side this time in the group stage. They are joined in group D by Olympiakos and Sporting Lisbon.

Group A: Benfica, Manchester United, Basel, CSKA Moscow

Group B: Bayern Munich, Paris St-Germain, Anderlecht, Celtic

Group C: Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, AS Roma, Qarabag

Group D: Juventus, Barcelona, Olympiakos, Sporting

Group E: Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, Liverpool, Maribor

Group F: Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester City, Napoli, Feyenoord

Group G: Monaco, Porto, Besiktas, RB Leipzig

Group H: Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham, Apoel

The group stage has been scheduled to begin on September 12th and 13th, 2017.
