UK PM May says she is unaware of Trump's proposed visit

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May says she is unaware of a proposed surprise visit by US President Donald Trump in the coming weeks.

Commenting on the matter through her spokesman, May claimed that she is ‘not aware’ of Trump’s plan to visit the UK.

‘I am not aware of any plans for the president to visit the UK in the next few weeks,’ he told reporters.

The spokesman added that an invitation for Trump to come to Britain had been extended and accepted, and that details would be set out in due course.

Trump’s visit became a topic after it was revealed that ministers were told to prepare for the US president making a flying visit to his golf course near Aberdeen.

Apparently, Trump is stopping by the UK on his way to France for Bastille Day celebrations on July 14, and for the G20 summit in Germany.
